This position reports to the Controller and is located in Glenview. Responsibilities Include: Supporting the Controller in planning, organizing and directing the day-to-day activities of the Accounting Department. Overseeing overall general ledger accounting functions including: budgeting and forecasting, monthly close processes, balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable, cost allocations, and premium taxes. Monitoring changes in statutory accounting pronouncements and implementation of applicable ones for the Company. Ensuring that results are complete and accurate and that management deadlines are consistently met. Overseeing external and internal financial audits. Preparing and submitting timely, monthly financial statements for internal & external reporting purposes. Assuming a lead role in special projects as needed.
