Electronic Flow Meter Technician 
Description: Under general supervision, to install and maintain electronic flow monitoring and metering systems and components, electronic devices and related equipment; to perform sub professional engineering duties in collecting and analyzing flow data; and to do related work as required. Examples of Essential Work (Illustrative Only): Installs and maintains micro processor controlled monitoring equipment, including rain gauges, ultrasonic sensors, and Doppler velocity sensors located in sanitary sewers. Calibrates flow meters and sensors using sophisticated test software and precision testing equipment to insure equipment meets manufacturer's performance standards for accuracy and reliability. Evaluates flow data to determine trends. Performs routine preventative maintenance of flow metering system such as battery replacements, sensor offset adjustments, sensor cleaning and depth measurements in isolated field locations; fabricates metering system parts and hardware for installation. Troubleshoots hardware and software problems associated with metering equipment and repairs micro electronic equipment to component level. Maintains inventory of spare electronic ...
