HIM/HIPAA COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR Alabama Long Term Care Company looking for an individual qualified to provide professional expertise for Health Information Management and HIPAA Compliance.. Salary commensurate with education and experience. Benefits comparable with other Health Care Companies. Basic Qualifications: 1. Must be credentialed as RHIA or RHIT with CCS with exp. In Health Information as a Director or Coordinator. 2. Working knowledge of regulations, survey process, accreditation standards and professional standards of practice pertaining to HIM in SNF/NF and HIPAA. 3. Understanding of documentation required for SNF/NF, including Medicare and Medicaid. 4. Expertise in the application of ICD-9-CM coding in LTC and understanding of HCPCS and CPT coding systems. 5. Working knowledge of documentation and legal issues pertaining to Health Information, Medical Staff Credentialing and HIPAA. 6.
