We have a steady flow of work coming from financial institutions where debtors have signed a contract to borrow money to pay for their insurance. The majority of the debtors are individuals with some commercial accounts. Our historical data tells us almost to the ½ of a percent how much the collection agent should be collecting from debtors. This enables us to predict with a reasonable certainty what a collection agent should be able to earn if they are persistent. Commissions average $12.00-15.00 per hour and sometimes can go even higher, based on a commission rate of 25%-30% of the NET amount collected, by credit card, debit card, money order or check.
